Just found your blog today. I was clicking through fatbridesmaid-->mizfit--> You!
I just had to comment on this post. I was in LA for a work conference in January and my friend took me to Urth Cafe. I had one of the yummiest sandwiches with sprouts and avocados AND one of those huge pieces of pumpkin pie (split with my friend of course). It was pretty price compared to Nashville eats, but on the company card. I would be in trouble if they had a place like that here.

Looking forward to back reading your blog.

LOL you are hilarious! Thanks for the sweet comment!

Sadly, there are NOT a lot of vegan places here in Texas, but I just got back from NYC-- OMG want to move there! Berry cheesecake, chocolate desserts galore, vegan restaurants... *swoons*

All that looks so tasty! With the bread issue, it's possible that it is served with every meal as a combination food so that a vegetarian can get enough protein in their diet without rellying on dairy and eggs exclusively. Normally that would be combinations of a pulse and a grain - like the beans in your salad with the bread. And besides....it looked sooo yummy :-)

All that food sure looks good! I don't have a lot of money so I don't really eat out much & honestly, I rather have my own stuff cause I am always a Sally from "When Harry Met Sally" movie!!!! My hubby eats different from me & he likes to eat out so I let him have a go at it.

As for salads, I just always ask for the dressing on the side... although not paying that much for a salad nowadays! I LOVE bread so I always plan for it if it is good bread. I like it dry so I never have to worry about adding the butter calories & fat. Me, I would have had the bread & been done with it.. :-) If bread is too hard for you to resist, tell them not to bring it to the table before they do... once it is there, too hard to send back especially if it is hot & fresh from the oven!!!

I am not a good cook so I am jealous! Plus I am lazy when it comes to cooking so all must be very easy & FEW ingredients!!!

Enjoy! And the boyfriend looks good from the back!

PS: I love Trader Joes!
