Stuff Health-Conscious People Like
Hi, it’s me again!
This blog idea came to me one night as I was thinking a) I’m sad the economy sucks and I have no money; b) I really need a new yoga mat and a Sigg, but, as noted in ‘a),’ I have no money; and c) I’ll wait until my b-day in November to subtly blatantly ask for these things.
Then I remembered I had started keeping a list of things I wanted to buy and things I wanted to try and thought – hey, why not post and update a list of all the cool stuff out there for us health-conscious folks so that we can get ideas of things to try, refer people to the list as a sort of gift guide, or simply browse through other health-conscious people’s favorite things? I’m muy excited about this, guys!
So, a la “Stuff White People Like” style, I’m beginning my own Stuff Health-Conscious People Like list (except without the stereotyping :/)…
To narrow it down, because this could be never-ending, I’m limiting the list mostly to things I’ve tried and liked myself, thinks I know someone who has tried and liked, or things I’ve seen other bloggers try and like. There are, however, a few things that I simply thought were cool-looking and, since I live on a student’s budget, want you guys to spend the money to try them and report back (haha!).
If you guys have tried any of the things I list and would be kind enough to give me a review, I’d be ever so grateful. Also, if there are things you would recommend be added to the list, I will happily link you as the person who recommended them. The things I’ve tried and liked personally will be marked with an asterisk.
**I’m almost done with the preliminary list and will post it as an additional page on my blog some time this week.**

You should include a food scale! I got the Escali digital scale from Amazon.com, and I love it…it has made my calorie counts so much more precise. Plus, it’s really cute and compact, so it won’t take up too much counter space. It runs on batteries, so you can put it anywhere.
Hey A…kudos to you! You look AB FAB and are awe inspiring! Something else you might want to mention in your goody list … a body bugg. They are NOT cheap…I repeat….they are NOT cheap ($200). However, I have been told that if you are having trouble watching or counting calories, that this is very helpful (hell…for that price…it ought to shave 15 pounds off immediately!). Needless to say…this old girl is going to invest because I am frustrated and at an impasse and need to do something!
