Alright, so I watched “Drop Dead Diva” tonight and I do like the fact that the main character is smart, kind, and happens to be overweight. I don’t like the emphasis on the shallow soul of the “skinny pretty” girl. To me, it was about what I expected for Oxygen.

Congrats to the winner, and I have noticed quite a few shows that are centered around fuller figured people “Dance your Ass off” ( a mix of so you think you can dance and biggest loser) ,”More to Love” (which is supposed to be similar to the bachelor) and I really don’t have an opinion of it I don’t know if it is doing more good or harm.

I am glad I ran across your blog today and will definitely be following.

OK, lots of links so will have to get back to them & read them. Right now, I have let too many things go at home… this blog stuff is keeping my home dirty!!! I don’t have a laptop or blackberry!

Me, this weekend, like my post for today says, a BEcation! I will be vegging out some of it, doing my normal Sunday jog & core work & just trying to find cool air. We have no air conditioning & this house is too HOT!

I’ve got to watch that show, “Drop dead diva”.

You know, no one ever wants to be “plus-sized” they just don’t. They make make a living from it {model, acting, etc} but they never want to truly be “large”. I think people try to make being “large” something that’s “normal”. But really, is it normal that there’s fat squeezing your lungs, heart and other organs? I mean really, is it normal to be in your 20′s, obese and on a TON of medicine? {see biggest loser for that one}, it’s NOT NOMAL. It’s time to make a healthy change, not just a “it’s ok to be huge and inside you’re killing yourself”. It’s just not ok.

ok there’s my rant, it probably doesn’t make since, but I’m hyped-up on green tea and about to attempt my first spin class wish me luck!

I’m so sick and tired of people bashing Drop Dead Diva when they haven’t even watched the show. It’s a funny, inspiring, uplifting, entertaining show that does not encourage obesity. Please folks, watch the show and then judge!

I will say when I saw the commercials for Drop Dead Diva, I was a little offended by the fact that this beautiful woman somehow tranforms into another woman and how “horrified” that she was trapped in a fat body! I thought the woman portraying the “overweight” character was actually very pretty. And for that reason, I probably won’t watch the show. However, the show where overweight people do a “dancing with the stars” type show is a different story because I think those people are doing it because they want to lose weight. AND I love the Biggest Loser for the same thing, its people just trying to figure out how to lose weight.
