On the Yellow Brick Road to Health

Happy Monday, guys!

As we face a new week, we cannot wipe our slates clean, but we can put our feet forward and set firmly on the road to health.

People ask me, “does it get easier?”  I often answer unhesitatingly with a resounding, “yes!”

Now I wonder if it’s not so much that it gets easier, or if we just get accustomed to pushing through our own weaknesses; accustomed to the exhaustion that the road inevitably entails from time to time; accustomed to spontaneous visits from skeletons in the closet and old demons who pop out from behind trees; accustomed to the forks in the road — the whole ‘every thing is a choice’ mentality; and accustomed to the calm and redemption that comes from realizing that no matter how rough it gets or how tired we get, there is no turning back — this is a one-way path, and we’re only moving forward.

Well, you can stay around here while I speak abstractly and allusively…

or you can check out one of my favorite blogs, A Weight Lifted, which so kindly did an interview post with me today here ;)

Here’s to a wonderful week, guys!

This is my comment on the other site & loved the interview! Love that pic too!!! Hey, check out my site & the vegetarian stuff. I am curious if you have tried that chicken tasting stuff I wrote about.. THX!

Great interview & love your answers Annabel! I really like how you put the mental to it too. If we had issues that made us heavy, we need to resolve those as well. And yes, we need to not always see that “other” person in the mirror. I did for years & sometimes still do but is more the mental old than the physical that comes lashing back at me!

Thx for a great one!

Heading over there now. Inquiring minds want to know, what did you end up choosing for your costume? :)

I really enjoyed this interview. It’s both refreshing and inspiring to see someone so honest with themselves. Thank you for sharing :-)
