New Vegan Finds at Trader Joe’s

Hey guys! Trader Joe’s is my version of Cheers — it’s where everybody knows my name. Ok, maybe not really, but it IS like my 3rd home, so I’m always aware when there are new products even before their cute lil Fearless Flier comes out. Here are two new vegan products on the shelves:

Cucumber Wonton Rolls
Photobucket

Fully cooked, frozen. Nutritional Info. for 1 serving (4 pieces): 100 calories, 1g fat, 160mg sodium, 1g fiber, 4g protein.  The ingredients list is too long for me to care to replicate. It’s got the vegan sticker on it, so it’s officially vegan and it’s obvs got soy and cucumber in it. I liked the taste of these alright. They’re a nice last resort if you’re starving and want something quick and warm. But I am not really a fan of warm cucumber. Cucumbers, like penguins, belong in the cold.

Fruit Frenzy Bars, Raspberry, Lemon & Strawberry
Photobucket

Nutrtional info. per serving (1 bar): 120 calories, 0g fat, 5mg sodium, 1g fiber, 0g protein.  Ingredients: strawberries, raspberries, lemon juice, water, fructose, sucrose, lemon pulp, natural stabilizers (guar gum, caron bean gum, carrageenan), lime oil, citric acid, tumeric (for color).

These are g-double o-d!

Have you tried any new food finds lately?

“Cucumbers, like penguins, belong on the cold.” Ha! Agreed.

I’m like you with Trader Joe’s. We do 90% of our shopping there. The employees are always so friendly and they hire artists to do the chalk boards. Love supporting a company that supports local artists.

I loved Trader’s because you’d find these new items one day and the inventory constantly changed…MISS it! But I did find CORN flavored yogurt last week and now make my own sweetened with agave. YUMMMY!
